Bethesda Stump RemovalThe 3 Things to Know About Stump Removal

  1. It can be a lot more difficult to DIY than you may think– It’s easy to assume you can remove your stump alone, but the fact is that without the proper equipment and training you may not be able to destroy the rootball and end up making it look worse. It’s best to hire a professional that can carefully remove your stump and leave your yard looking beautiful.
  2. Different stumps may require different tools– For larger stumps, a large stump removal machine may be required. This machine can be trailered by a pickup truck to your property. Our driver will carefully back the truck and stump removal machine across your yard to reach a large stump, and then we will grind the stump down 12 inches below the surface to effectively destroy the root ball. For smaller stumps, a small stump machine can be used. These are self-propelled and do not need to be moved into place by a pickup truck. The machines are also designed to fit through 36 inch-wide openings and will grind smaller stumps down 2-6 inches below the surface.
  3. The mulch leftover from your stump can be used to nourish your soil– Once your stump has been removed, we can grind the stump into mulch. This can be used to back-fill the hole. Over time, the stump mulch will settle back into the ground and nourish the soil.
